Agri Drain recently sponsored Iowa Soybean Association’s Environmental Leader Award during the association’s annual Leadership Awards Luncheon on January 25, 2022.
ISA’s Environmental Leader Award was presented to Michael Vittetoe. Michael and Kelsey Vittetoe and their family operate an impressive row crop and hog operation near Washington, Iowa. In addition, they also raise and market high-quality, pasture-raised beef and produce a diverse mix of cover crops. Their farming operation and the conservation practices on their land have yielded impressive results from allowing them to reduce herbicide usage, minimize runoff, increase yields, and improve water quality.
The Vittetoe family is a great example of an Iowa farm family that works together as a strong team with a long-term, multi-generational vision of what farming should be. Congratulations!
